Swatragh 3-17
Banagher 0-22
Two first half goals from Cahal Murray put Swatragh on their way to glory in an entertaining final on Sunday afternoon at Owenbeg.
The Davitt’s, who had already qualified for the Ulster series, had to fend off a late Banagher comeback before substitute Kevin McAllister notched an insurance goals.
While Murray hit both goals, two saves from Conor O’Kane were also vital as the ‘Swa led 2-8 to 0-12 at half-time.
Points from Callum Armstrong and Callum O’Kane kept Banagher in touch but Swatragh were able to reply with Murray and Sé Walsh on target.
Banagher had a 55th minute penalty that Oisin McCloskey sent over the bar with that looked like their final throw of the dice.
With the point between the sides, Kevin McAllister clinched victory with a late goal.
Swatragh are at home to the Down winners in the Ulster series on the weekend of November 3/4
