The Derry branch of United Against Racism removed ‘Nazi’ stickers around the city.
The activist group took to Facebook to share the images before and after they had removed the far-right stickers.
United Against Racism—Derry and North West has claimed in their post to social media that the city and the northwest region are anti-fascist areas, with the group stating that they are fighting racism and fascism.
The Facebook post from the activists said that they were made aware of stickers in the Derry area demonstrating support for fascist and ‘Nazi’ ideals.
They said: “These have been quickly removed.”
The group then sent a message to those putting the stickers up, stating that ‘Derry is anti-fascist’ and that nobody in the city wishes to promote the message on the stickers.
They said: “If you see anyone putting up these stickers, please challenge them (if you feel you can), remove the stickers, and feel free to contact UAR if you need assistance.
“Keep Derry Tidy, Bin the Nazis.”
