Derry motorists advised to avoid street in city centre

Butcher Street in Derry City centre has been closed by the PSNI.

This street leading from the Diamond to the Bishop’s Gate and the top of Fahan Street has been closed. 

A spokesperson from the PSNI said: “Butcher Street between the Diamond and Butcher’s Gate in Derry/Londonderry is closed due to an unsafe roof at a property in the area this morning, Wednesday 29th January. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternative main routes.”
