Derry motorists have been urged to take ‘extreme caution’ when driving on the roads today.
Wintry conditions have continued to plague the roads within the city and county of Derry, with widespread reports of icy roads and traffic congestion.
People have been warned of the potential for some disruption to travel while the cold weather continues.
This is following the rain, sleet, and snow showers throughout the past few days.
Derry City and Strabane District Council Deputy Mayor Darren Guy warned people about the treacherous conditions on the road through a post to Facebook.
Cllr Guy said: “Folks, all roads are extremely bad with icy conditions this morning. Stay at home if your journey is not important.
“For all those who have to venture out, drive with extreme caution!”
