Anne Agnew (née Doherty), Newlands Crescent, Portstewart

It is with deep regret we announce the passing of Anne Agnew (née Doherty), February 7 2026, peacefully at Hospital (late of Newlands Crescent, Portstewart). Dearly loved wife of Felix and much loved mother of John, Joanne and Michael; mother-in-law of Laura, Derek and Carol; adored Granny Anne to Lucy, Rachel, Ben and Anna; and a much loved sister. House Private. Prayers in Wades Funeral Home, Coleraine, on Monday, February 9 at 4.30pm. Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Star of the Sea Church, Portstewart, on Tuesday, February 10 at 12noon, followed by interment in Portstewart Cemetery. Family flowers only, please. Sheena Brennan (née Cox), Kylemore Road, Coleraine

The death has occurred of Sheena Brennan (née Cox), February 7 2026, peacefully at the BoHill Care Home, formerly of Kylemore Road, Coleraine. Dearly beloved wife of the late Sean, loving mother of John, Kevin, Frances, Paula and Gareth, mother-in-law of Adele, Michaela, Kev and Patricia and a much loved granny and great-granny. Family and friends are welcome to call at her son Gareth’s home, 28 Orchardville, Coleraine on Sunday from 12.00pm - 7.00pm. Funeral from Gareth’s home on Monday at 9.15am to St. John’s Church for Requiem Mass at 10.00am. Interment afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Kathleen Cole (née Brandon), 89 Moss Park, Derry

It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Kathleen Cole (née Brandon), peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital on February 7 2026. Late of Owenmore Care Home and formerly of 89 Moss Park. May she rest in peace. Devoted mother of Michael and Paul. A much-loved sister of Martha, Ruby, Geraldine, Jim and the late Mary, Frank and Martin. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of her wider family circle and friends. Kathleen’s remains will be reposing at the McClafferty Funeral Home and Chapel of Rest on Sunday, February 8 from 4.00pm until 8.00pm. Funeral leaving from there on Monday, February 9 at 11:25am for Requiem Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Steelstown at 12o’clock. Beatrice Helen Hastings (née Hamilton), 5 Luney Road, Magherafelt

Funeral arrangements for the late Beatrice Helen Hastings (née Hamilton), February 6 2026, (Aged 98) Peacefully at Antrim Area Hospital (surrounded by her loving family) after a short illness. Late of 5 Luney Rd, Magherafelt. Wife of the late Robin, devoted Mother of Helen, David, Stephen and Richard, loving mother-in-law of Allan, Christine, Mary and Janet , adored granny of Rebecca, Robin, Benjamin , Matthew, Christopher, Bethany , Mark , Sarah and Rachel, great-granny of Nicholas, Elliott, Hector, Eden, Laurence, Rose, James, Munro, Alexander and Santiago. In accordance with Beatrice’s wishes Beatrice’s Body has been donated to Queen’s University School of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical science. House Private. Beatrice will be greatly missed by her loving daughter, sons, son-in-law, daughter-in-laws, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Absent from the body, present with the Lord.

 

William Johnston, 619 Beechview Gardens, Kilrea

The death has taken place of William Johnston, February 6 2026, suddenly at hospital, late of 619 Beechview Gardens, Kilrea, much loved husband of the late Eileen, loving father to David, Sandra and the late Robin, dear father-in-law to Vincent, devoted grandfather to William (Jamie), Rebekah, Rachele and Lexianne, great-grandfather to Theodore, dear brother of Sadie, Margaret and the late Sammy and Annie. Funeral service in his home on Tuesday at 2 00pm interment afterwards in Kilrea Cemetery Everyone is welcome to call at his home on Sunday from 2 00pm till 6 00pm. Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his sorrowing family and family circle.

 

John-Francis McCready, 2 Glengalliagh Park, Derry

It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of John-Francis McCready, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital on February 7 2026. May he rest in peace. Late of 2 Glengalliagh Park. May he rest in peace. Beloved husband of Margaret. Devoted father of Denis. Loving grandfather of Aoife. Much-loved brother of Joseph, Bridie, Margaret and the late Anne. Cherished son of the late Thomas and Sarah-Jane McCready. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his wider family circle and friends. Valerie will be reposing in her home, 193 Lincoln Courts, on Sunday from 4.00pm – 7.00pm. Funeral service will take place there on Monday at 1.00pm. Interment afterwards in Ballyoan Cemetery. The death has occurred of the late Sarah Wallace, February 6 2026, peacefully, at her home 104 Moneygran Road, Kilrea, dearly beloved wife of John, much loved mother of Alex, Rodney and Rhandi and a dear mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. Service at her home on Tuesday at 2.00pm followed by interment in Tamlaght O'Crilly Parish churchyard. Family flowers only please.
