Damian Conway, 50 Plantation Road, Garvagh

The death has occurred of the late Damian Conway, February 5 2026, (50 Plantation Road, Garvagh) beloved husband of Christina (nee Logue) and loving father of Orlaigh and Grace, son of the late Frank and Annie Conway and dear brother of John, Tony, Christina and the late Lorraine, son in law of Edward and Carmella Logue (Maghera). Funeral from 50b Oaklea Road, Ballyronan BT45 6HX on Sunday, February 8 at 10.15am for 11.30am Mass in Church of St Joseph Glenullin, interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Deeply regretted by his wife, daughters, brothers, sister, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces and extended family circle. House Strictly Private at Damian’s request.

 

Michael Joseph (Mickey) Doherty, 14 Parkmore Drive, Strathfoyle

The death has taken place of the late Michael Joseph (Mickey) Doherty, February 6 2026, peacefully at his home, loving father of Martina, Dermot, Joseph, Fiona, Lauren and the late Carl and dear brother of the late Geraldine, Patrick, Martha-Frances, Arthur and Libby. His remains will be reposing in his home, 14 Parkmore Drive, Strathfoyle. Funeral from there on Sunday at 10.55am for 11.15 am funeral Mass in St Oliver Plunkett's Church, Strathfoyle. Interment afterwards in St Mary's cemetery, Ardmore. Family time please from 10.00pm to 12noon. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.

 

Sarah Kathleen Hughes (née Norris), 19 Drumcraig Road, Newbuildings

The death has taken place of Sarah Kathleen Hughes (née Norris), February 6 2026, Peacefully at Foyle Hospice (surrounded by her loving family) much loved wife of Terry, devoted mum of Moira, Brian and Gareth, loving mother-in-law of Peter and Lisa, adored granny of Edward, Simon, Katherine, Sam and Evie, great-granny of Ida, Heidi and Hana, dearest sister of Deirdre, Sandra, Pamela and Heather. Funeral leaving her late home, 19 Drumcraig Road, Newbuildings on Monday at 12.15pm followed by a Service of Thanksgiving for her life in St. Columb’s Cathedral at 1.00pm burial afterwards in Ballyoan Cemetery. Family flowers only, donation in lieu if desired (cheques made payable to Foyle Hospice), c/o Foyle Hospice, 61, Culmore Road, Derry. House Strictly Private. Very deeply regretted and will be lovingly remembered by her husband, sons, daughter, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters, nieces, nephews and the entire family circle. “Peace after suffering”

 

William Johnston, 619 Beechview Gardens, Kilrea

The death has occurred of the late William  Johnston, February 6 2026, suddenly at hospital, late of 619 Beechview Gardens Kilrea, much loved husband of the late Eileen, loving father to David, Sandra and the late Robin, dear father-in-law to Vincent, devoted grandfather to William (Jamie), Rebekah, Rachele & Lexianne, great-grandfather to Theodore, dear brother of Sadie, Margaret and the late Sammy and Annie. Funeral details later. Everyone is welcome to call at his home Saturday and Sunday from 2 00pm till 6 00pm. Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his sorrowing family and family circle.

 

Olive Evelyn Kells (née Speers), 33 Coltrim Road, Moneymore

The death has taken place of Olive Evelyn Kells (née Speers), February 6 2026, (peacefully) at her home, 33 Coltrim Road, Moneymore, beloved Wife of the late Ralph, loving Mother of Robin (Norma), Laverne (Leslie), Evelyn, Stephen, James (Catherine), Colin, Audrey (Ernest) and the late William, a cherished Grandmother and Great Grandmother and a dear Sister of Maisie, Gladys, Dorothy, David and the late William, Bertie, Norman, Kenneth, Edna and Lorna. House strictly private. All welcome at D. Watters Funeral Home, Tobermore on Saturday evening (February 7) from 7:00pm - 9:00pm. A Service of Thanksgiving for Olive's Life will take place in Moneymore Congregational Church on Sunday, February 8 at 1:30pm, followed by burial in Cookstown Cemetery. Family flowers only please. It is with deep regret we announce the passing of Margaret Kennedy, February 6 2026, (peacefully) at her home, 19 Mullagh Court, Maghera, Wife of the late Tom, much loved Mother of Natalie, a dear Mother-in-Law of William and loving Grandmother of Raquel. House and Funeral strictly private. No flowers please at her own request. Will be sadly missed by her Family and Friends.

Dearly loved mother of Robert and Blandina, mother-in-law of Victoria, adored granny and loving sister.
