Stephen McBride, Strathfoyle, Derry

The death has taken place of Stephen McBride, November 7 2025, sadly missed by his daughter Shanella and her mother Shahani, formerly of Crannog Park, Strathfoyle, cherished son of the late Jim and Rosaleen, dear brother of Dermot and much loved uncle of Amy, Ryan, Keeva and Dylan. Everyone is welcome to pay their respects at W J O’Brien & Son’s Funeral Home, 110 Clooney Road, Eglinton, BT47 3PU. Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St Oliver Plunkett’s Church, Strathfoyle, on Monday at 2.30pm. Interment afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Ardmore. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if wished, to Friends of Altnagelvin (ICU Unit) C/o Peter Nicholl, MDEC Unit, Altnagelvin Hospital, Glenshane Road, Derry, BT47 6SB. Colm Mullin, 31 Lisnagrot Road, Kilrea

Funeral arrangements for the late Colm Mullin, Died November 8 2025 (Kilrea). N.B. Family, friends and neighbours welcome to call at the family home, 31 Lisnagrot Road, on Monday, November 10 2025 from 12noon to 8.00pm. Peacefully surrounded by his loving wife and family in the care of the Macmillan Unit, Antrim Area Hospital, beloved husband of Anne Marie (née McMaster). Son of the late Walter and Margaret and loving brother of Eileen, Patsy, Margaret, Anne, Dympna, Walter, Seamus, Thomas, John and the late Frankie and a much loved brother-in-law and uncle. Funeral from his late residence, 31 Lisnagrot Road, on Tuesday at 11:15am for 12noon Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Drumagarner. Interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. St. Columba pray for him. Deeply regretted by the entire Mullin and McMaster family circle. Family flowers only please. George Robert Parke, 18 Dellwood, Eglinton

It is with deep regret we announce the passing of George Robert Parke, November 7 2025, Peacefully at his home, 18 Dellwood, Eglinton, (surrounded by his loving family in his 80th year) much loved and devoted husband of Valerie, precious dad of Jeffrey, Melanie and Lynsey, loving father-in-law of Lindsay, Paul and Aaron, adored granda of Mackenzie, Harris, Grace, Emma, Ben and Jessica, a dear brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Funeral leaving his late home on Sunday, November 9, at 2.30pm followed by a Service of Thanksgiving for his life in St Canice’s Parish Church, at 3.00pm burial afterwards in adjoining Churchyard. Family flowers only donations in lieu if desired (cheques made payable) to either St Canice’s Parish Church or Alzheimer’s Society c/o Mrs Ruth Hay, Funeral Director, 24A, Church Road, Altnagelvin, Derry BT47 6QQ (email address would be appreciated for receipts). Family and friends are welcome to call at the family home on Saturday from 11.00am until 8.00pm. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by his entire family circle. “God bless until we met again”

 

David Boyd (Davy) Speirs, 1 Thompson Gardens, Maghera

The death has occurred of the late David Boyd (Davy) Speirs, November 8 2025, (peacefully) at Brooklands Nursing Home, Magherafelt, formerly of 1 Thompson Gardens, Maghera, beloved Son of the late Robert John and Christina (née Boyd), a dear Step-Son of the late Ethel, much loved Brother of the late Bobby, Tom, Christy, Hughie, Annie, Margaret and Tilly and a loved Uncle and Great Uncle.
