The death has occurred of the late James (Jimmy) Cadden, October 27 2025 peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, son of the late John and Alma (Bann Drive), loving brother of Don, brother-in-law of Maud and much loved uncle of Elisha. Everyone is welcome to pay their respects at W J O’Brien & Son’s Funeral Home, 110 Clooney Road, Eglinton, BT47 3PU, on Tuesday from 7.00pm – 8.30pm. Funeral service will take place there on Wednesday at 12noon. Interment afterwards in Ballyoan Cemetery.  The Lord is my shepherd.

The death has occurred of the late Janet Loughrey, Passed away peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital on October 26 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Much loved wife of Stephen, Loving Mother of Erin (Barney), Mark (Lisa), Faye (Bobby), Devoted Grandmother of Lucy, Sophie, Ciera, Emilia, Leo and soon to arrive Cora Jay. The death has taken place of Matthew John (Matt) McElhatton, October 26 2025, Peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital (surrounded by his loving family in his 82nd year, formerly of 85 Stevenson Park, Tullyally) much loved husband of Mary, devoted father, adored granda and great-granda, loving brother of Robert, William, David and the late Joseph, James and Samuel. Funeral leaving his son Bobby’s home, 12 Ivy Mead, Altnagelvin, on Wednesday, October 29 at 12.00noon followed by a Service of Thanksgiving for his life in Glendermott Presbyterian Church at 12.30pm burial afterwards in the adjoining burial ground. Family flowers only donations in lieu if desired (cheques made payable) to Royal British Legion Waterside Branch, (email address would be appreciated for receipts) c/o Ruth Hay, Funeral Director, 24A, Church Road, Altnagelvin, Derry BT47 3QQ. Everyone is welcome to call at Bobby’s home on Tuesday from 1.00pm until 8.00pm. Loyal Orange Funeral all Brethren welcome Regalias to be worn. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by his entire family circle. “The Lord is my Shepherd”

Ann McFaul (née Kelly), Kingsfort Park, Derry

The death has taken place of Ann McFaul (née Kelly), October 25 2025, beloved wife of the late James, formerly of Kingsfort Park, loving mother of Ruairi and the late baby James Oliver McFaul and dear sister of Tony, Kathleen and the late Eamon, Bobby, Brian, Jackie and Martin. All are welcome to pay their respects at W J O’Brien & Son’s Funeral Home, 110 Clooney Road, Eglinton, BT47 3PU, on Tuesday from 4 00pm – 6.00pm and on Wednesday from 3.00pm – 4.00pm. Her remains will then be removed to repose overnight in St. Patrick’s Church, Pennyburn. Requiem Mass will be celebrated there on Thursday at 10o’clock. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.

Andrew McMurray, Limavady

The death has taken place of Andrew McMurray, Passed away peacefully at his own home in Limavady on October 25 2025. Much loved son of Blanche and Brian and dear brother of Emma (Andrew) Loving Uncle of Callum and Hannah. House private. Funeral service will be held in Browns Funeral Home on Wednesday at 12noon followed by burial in Enagh Cemetery at 1.00pm. All welcome to attend the funeral service and burial. Marie McShane (née Ward), Derry

It is with deep regret we announce the passing of Marie McShane (née Ward), October 26 2025, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, (formerly of Lisfannon Park), wife of Liam (Dart), loving mother of Margaret, Lisa, Leanne, Louise, Liam and the late Carol and a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother. Marie will be sadly missed by Majella, Una, Brian, Bernie, Eileen, Kieran, William and all her deceased family members. Marie will be reposing in St. Mary’s Parish Hall, Creggan on Tuesday from 11:00am to 10:00pm. Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St. Mary’s Church, Creggan on Wednesday, October 29 at 10:00am followed by cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan at 4:00 pm. Family flowers only donations in lieu if wished to Alzheimer’s Society, Sevenoaks, Waterside, Derry, BT47 6AL. Sacred Heart Of Jesus have mercy on her soul. Hazel Mary Georgina Wilkinson, Kilrea
