Thelsa Beatrice Barrow (née Goriah), 51 Rossmara, Limavady

It is with deep sorrow we announce that Thelsa Beatrice Barrow (née Goriah), passed away peacefully in the early hours of Sunday, October 5 2025 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Late of 51 Rossmara, Limavady. Prior Residence in Beterverwagting, East Bank, Guyana. Loving Mother of Stephen, Marcia and Samantha. Very beloved mother-in-law of Janice and of the late Dason. Devoted Grandmother of Jasmin, Jayla, Jorja and Ruben. And Soon to be Great-Grandmother. The Oldest of 8 Siblings Desiree, Carlton, Sita, Jeanette, Junior, Paul and the late Cecil. Very much-loved daughter of Late Joseph & Alice Goriah. Thelsa will be reposing at her home 51 Rossmara, Limavady. Private house on Monday, October 6. House open Tuesday and Wednesday evening for wake from 5o’clock onward. Funeral will be leaving from her home on Thursday, October 9 at 1:30pm and service will be held at Christ Church Limavady at 2.00pm. She will remain with her family until her private cremation on Friday, October 10. Family flowers only please , donations if desired and cheques made payable to Dementia NI

Mary Cassidy (née Lagan), 124 Fivemilestraight, Maghera

The death has occurred of the late Mary Cassidy (née Lagan), October 5 2025 , Peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Much loved wife of the late Michael Patrick (Patsy). Devoted mother of Francis, Maria, Roisin, Patrick, John Joe, Margaret and Breige. Daughter of the late Frank and Roisin Lagan and much-loved sister of Brian, Tillie McVey and the late Bishop Francis, Sr Maria (Rose), John, James, Hugh and Josephine. Funeral cortège walking from her home, 124 Fivemilestraight BT46 5JP on Tuesday, October 7 at 1.15pm for 2.00pm Requiem Mass in St. Patrick's Church Glen. Interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Family time from 10.00pm to 11.00am. Requiem Mass can be viewed online via: st-patricks-church-maghera - MCN. Family flowers only. Thomas Edwin (Eddie) Hunter, 23 Glengiven Avenue, Limavady

The death has taken place of the late Thomas Edwin (Eddie) Hunter, Passed away peacefully at his home at his home surrounded by his loving family. Much loved husband of Christine. Devoted Father of Audrey (Chris), Carol (Graham) and Ian (Lisa). Dear brother of Sam (and the late Iris) and John (Emily) Grandfather Cameron, Matthew, Ryan, Abbie, Tom and Jessica. Anyone wishing to pay respects can do so at Browns Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 7 from 5.00pm to 7.00pm. Funeral cortege will leave his late home, 23 Glengiven Avenue, Limavady on Wednesday, October 8 at 11:30am for a service held in Balteagh parish Church at 12noon followed by burial in adjoining church yard. The death has occurred of the late James Monteith (Jimmy) Jack, October 5 2025, peacefully at Causeway Hospital, 52 Cranagh Road, Coleraine. Loving husband of Anne, much loved father of Roisin, Rebecca and Sarah, granda Jimmy of Jack, Charlotte, Sean and Gracie and brother-in-law of Heather. Service of Thanksgiving in Portstewart Presbyterian Church on Thursday, October 9 2025 at 12noon followed by cremation at Roselawn Crematorium, Belfast at 4.00pm. Family flowers only please. The death has occurred of the late Mary (Maureen) McCandless (née O'Kane), October 5 2025, peacefully at her home, 9 Deburgh Square, surrounded by her loving family, beloved wife of the late George, loving mother of Richard, Stephen and Kathy, mother-in-law of Marion, Valerie and Pat, devoted grandmother of Lennán and Jason and much loved sister of the late Eddie, Annie, Ruby, Patsy, Francie and Bobby. House restricted to family and close friends only please. Funeral from her home on Wednesday at 9.30am for 10o’clock Requiem Mass in St Eugene’s Cathedral. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Rev. Fr. Frank McLaughlin, Derry (late of Nottingham Diocese, England)

The death has taken place of Rev. Fr. Frank McLaughlin, October 4 2025, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, (late of Nottingham Diocese, England), beloved son of the late Patrick and Ellen, loving brother of Evelyn and the late Maureen, Billy, Danny, Rosaleen, Peter, Celine and Tony, dear brother-in-law to Douglas and a special uncle to all his nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the wider family circle. Rev. Fr. Frank will be reposing in St. Eugene’s Cathedral. Removal leaving there on Tuesday, October 7 at 6:00pm to St. Columba’s Church, Longtower for Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 12:00noon. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Deeply regretted by his sorrowing sister, the wider family circle, Bishop McKeown, Priests and Parishioners of the Derry Diocese. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul. The death has taken place of Samuel Desmond McLeanc, October 5 2025, (peacefully) at The Milesian Manor Nursing Home, Magherafelt, dearly loved Husband of Joan, 8 Lurganagoose Road, Knockloughrim, much loved Father of Andrew, Joanne and Nigel, loving Father-in-Law of Susan, Raymond and Alison, devoted Granda of Nicole (Matthew), Lee (Christina), Michael (Victoria), Hayley (Barry) and Mark, much adored Great Granda of Callum and Olivia and dearest Brother of Anna, Patricia and the late Margaret. House strictly private - Family and Friends welcome. Funeral will take place from his home on Tuesday, October 7 at 1:30pm, to Knockloughrim Presbyterian Church for service at 2:00pm, followed by burial in the adjoining Churchyard. Family flowers only please. Much loved wife of Brendan. Dearly loved mother of Brenda, John, Hugh and Marguarita. Devoted Grandmother of Orla and Conor. Daughter of the late Hugh and Rita Kilfeather (Clonmore, Armagh). Sister of Alastair, Linda, Bernardine, Anne, Brian, Jacqueline, Margo, Joan and Laura. Frances is reposing in J. A. Gormley's Funeral Home, 1 Main Street, Maghera BT46 5AA on Tuesday, October 7 from 4.30pm to 8.00pm. The death has taken place of the late Frances (Fran) O'Brien (née Cowan), October 6 2025, formerly of 128 The Brambles, Magherafelt, beloved wife of the late Frank and loving mother of the late Christopher, dear sister of the late May, Bobby, Joe, Peggy, Amy, Winnie and Jack. Removal from McCusker Bros Funeral Home 10a Garden Street Magherafelt on Thursday 9th October at 5.00pm (everyone welcome from 3.00pm) arriving Church of Our Lady of the Assumption at 5.30pm. Requiem Mass on Friday, October 10 at 11.00am, via webcam Webcam – Magherafelt Parish, interment afterwards in cemetery at Church of St. John Milltown. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul. The death has taken place of Noreen Stewart, October 6 2025, peacefully in Meadowbank Care home. Dearly beloved daughter of the late Mills and Maureen. Loving sister of Caroline. Dear aunt of Kara and Lyndsay. Rev. William James (Jim) Waring, Kenton Drive, Coleraine

The death has occurred of the late Rev. William James (Jim) Waring, October 5 2025, (peacefully at his home, Kenton Drive, Coleraine, surrounded by his loving family). Loving husband of the late Lorna; devoted father of Philip, Stephanie and the late Michael; much loved father-in-law of David and Emma; treasured uncle of Timothy and adored grandfather of Callum, Niamh and Lyla. Family and friends are welcome to call at Stephanie’s home, on Tuesday, during the hours of 3.00pm - 5.00pm and 7.00pm - 9.00pm. Service of Thanksgiving in Ballywillan Presbyterian Church, Portrush on Wednesday at 2.00pm. This will be preceded by a private committal in Portstewart Cemetery. Family flowers only please.
