Kathleen Devine (née Parke), 27 Southend Park, Derry

It is with deep regret we announce the passing of Kathleen Devine (née Parke), October 3 2025, peacefully at home, beloved wife of the late Foncie, loving mother of Georgie, John and Patrick, cherished grandmother of Shanice, Anthony, Courtney, Katie and Dylan, great-grandmother of Caomhánn, Keenan, Kayla-Rose, Méili-Rose, Anthony Óg and Ella-Louise, dear and loving sister of the late Sally, Joe, Jackie, May, Eileen and Anna Gretta, fond mother-in-law to Mary-Ann and a dear life-long friend of Eileen and George Stewart. Kathleen will be dearly missed by her nephews and nieces and the wider family circle. Kathleen is reposing at her home, 27 Southend Park. Funeral leaving her home on Monday, October 6 at 9:20am to St. Columba’s Church, Longtower for Requiem Mass at 10:00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul. Our Lady of Lourdes intercede for her.

 

Dr. Fergus Graham, Tucson, Arizona, U.S.A. (Formerly of Derry)

The death has taken place of Dr. Fergus Graham, died October 2 2025 in his 86th year, after a short illness. He passed away peacefully at his home in Tucson, Arizona, U.S.A. Former pupil of Foyle College and Q.U.B. Much-loved brother of May and Arthur. Will be sadly missed by the extended families in Vancouver and Derry.

 

May Mitchell, Agherton Court, Portstewart

The death has occurred of the late May Mitchell, October 3 2025,  passed away peacefully at Madelayne Court after 94 wonderful years. May, formerly of Agherton Court and daughter of the late Martha and William McDowell, sister to Leta, Margaret and Wilma and dearly-loved wife of the late Bert, will be sorely missed by her children Barry, Colin, Wendy and Jillian. May was a loved mother-in-law to Jennifer, Stephanie and Andrew; a much-loved Gran to Sarah, Heather, Jonathan, Hannah, Frances, Aaron and Andrew; a devoted Great-Gran to Joshua, Charis, Andrew, Lucy and Alexander and a dear friend to Siobhán and Danny. Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects in a Service of Thanksgiving in Agherton Parish Church, Portstewart at 2.00pm on Wednesday, October 8 followed by a private family committal. Family flowers only. Celine O’Connor (née O’Kane), 57 Ballyhanedin Road, Claudy

We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Celine O’Connor (née O’Kane), peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on October 4 2025. May she rest in peace. Late of 57 Ballyhanedin Road, Claudy, Co Derry. Beloved wife of the late Jim R.I.P. Loving mother of Marina (Kevin), Hugh (Yvonne), Eamon (Margaret), Karen (Eamon), Nuala (Eric), Dermot, Gavin (Patricia), Fergal (Catherine) and the late Seamus R.I.P. A devoted grandmother and great grandmother. Daughter of the late Jimmy and Bridget O’Kane R.I.P and dear sister of Veronica and the late Phil, Mickey, Lizzie, Maggie, Roseanne, James Anthony and Mary R.I.P.
Very deeply regretted by the entire family circle. Reposing at her late home. Wake will commence on Sunday (October 5) at 2.00pm. Funeral on Tuesday, October 7 2025 leaving her late home at 9.10am for 10.00am Requiem Mass in St Peter and St Paul’s Church, Foreglen. Interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.
