David James Blair, 14 Loguestown Green, Coleraine

The death has taken place of the late David James Blair, August 12 2025, peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, 14 Loguestown Green, Coleraine. Dearly loved husband of Sarah, loving father of Daniel (Kim) and Bridget (Rory), much loved ‘Bumpa’ of Alex and Sophie and dear brother of Colin and Roger. A celebration of David’s life will be held in Wades Funeral Home on Thursday at 3.00pm. A private cremation will take place at a later date. Maria Goretti Boyle, 129 Priory Road, Dungiven

We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Maria Goretti Boyle, peacefully at Causeway Hospital on August 11 2025, may she rest in peace. Late of 129 Priory Road, Dungiven, Co Derry. Beloved daughter of the late Robert and Annie Boyle R.I.P. Loving sister of Colm R.I.P, Anne (Sr Maria Corona - Loreto Order), Mary, Sarah, Veronica, Phonsie, Margaret Rose and Dolores. Deeply regretted by her sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces and nephews. Maria was house keeper to the Rev. Helen Cairns (née Boyle), 23 Clareen Drive, Strathfoyle

The death has occurred of the late Helen Cairns (née Boyle), August 12 2025, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, loving mother of Kelley, Laureen, Cheryl, Aaron and Gareth, mother-in-law of Sean, Leeroy, Jim, Karla and Zoe a much loved grandmother and great-grandmother and dear sister of Gloria, JD and the late Pat, Mary and John. Helen’s remains will be reposing in her home, 23 Clareen Drive, Strathfoyle on Wednesday from 11.00am to 10.00pm. Funeral from there on Thursday at 11.30am for 12o’clock Requiem Mass in St Oliver Plunkett’s Church, Strathfoyle. Interment afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Ardmore. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.

 

Eileen Devenney (née Watton), 60 Silverthorn Avenue, Coleraine

It is with deep regret we announce the passing of Eileen Devenney (née Watton), August 11 2025, peacefully at home, 60 Silverthorn Avenue, Coleraine, Eileen Kellet Yates. Dearly loved wife of Victor, loving mother of Darren (Denise), much loved granny of Harry, dear daughter-in-law of Esther and much loved sister of Robin, Sally, Iris, Joanne, Lesley and the late James. Family and friends are welcome to call at her sister’s home, 46 Silverthorn Avenue, Coleraine, and are also welcome to pay their respects at Wades Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5.00pm to 7.00pm. Funeral service in Wades Funeral Home, Coleraine on Thursday at 11.00am followed by interment in Coleraine Cemetery. Family flowers only please. The death has taken place of Johnny Donnelly (Magherafelt), August 12 2025, beloved husband of Eileen and loving father of Kieran (Mary), Paula, Nuala ( Damien Martin) and Sean, brother of Matt, Gerard, Mickey and the late Sheila, Maura, Brian, Francis and Josie. Funeral from his home, 16 Castledawson Road, on Thursday, August 14 at 10.15am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in Church of Our Lady of the Assumption, interment afterwards in cemetery of Church of St John Milltown. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Deeply regretted by his sorrowing wife, sons, daughters, son in law, daughter in law, grandchildren Sienna, Charlie, Zara and Meabh, brothers, nephews, nieces and extended family circle.

 

Elizabeth Kathleen (Betty) Hiscox, Bready

The death has taken place of Elizabeth Kathleen (Betty) Hiscox, August 11 2025, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital (surrounded by her loving family in her 84th Year). Beloved wife of the late Arthur Samuel. A cherished and devoted mum of daughter Jacqueline (William), son Mark (Gillian) and Arthur and dearly loved granny of Jennifer and Ross. Funeral from her daughter’s home, 30 Cloughboy Road, Bready, Co Tyrone on Friday, August 15 at 11.00am for immediate family only followed by burial in Ballyoan Cemetery. The death has occurred of the late Sadie McFadden (née McKelvey), August 12 2025, (peacefully) at Antrim Area Hospital, (in her 94th year), late of 32 Ballydermott Road, Castledawson, beloved wife of the late Charlie, much loved mother of Anne and Charles, dear mother-in-law of Robert and Jennifer, a proud grandmother and great grandmother, dearest sister of Tommy and his wife Margaret and the late Willie and sister-in-law of Betty and her husband Eric. House strictly private. All welcome at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 18 Deerpark Road, Bellaghy, BT45 8LB on Wednesday, August 13 from 6.00pm - 9.00pm. A Service of Thanksgiving will take place in Bellaghy Presbyterian Church on Thursday, August 14 at 1.00pm, followed by burial afterwards in the Ballyscullion Parish Church yard. Family Flowers only please. Lovingly remembered by all the family circle. The death has taken place of Jack Murray, August 10 2025, Suddenly at his home. Much loved son of Kevin and Martina and loving brother of Daniel. Cherished grandson of Geraldine Bradley and the late Kevin and the late Danny and Agnes Murray. Much loved partner of Lauren.
