Michael Barr, 29 Burnside Manor, Killea (formerly of Rathowen Park, Derry)
It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Barr, peacefully at home, surrounded by all of his loving family on May 24 2025. Late of 29 Burnside Manor, Killea and formerly of 7 Rathowen Park. May he rest in peace. Beloved husband of Jean. Devoted father of Ethan, Lisa and Cara. Dearest father-in-law of Eimear, Johnpaul and Stephen. Wonderful granda of Caí, Ada and Lila. A much loved brother to all of his brothers and sisters. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his nieces, nephews, wider family circle and friends. Michael’s remains will be reposing at his late home, 29 Burnside Manor, Killea. Funeral leaving from there on Monday, May 26 at 9:15am for 10.00am Requiem Mass in St. Columba’s Church, Longtower. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery. Ryan McCaughey, Castledawson (formerly Portglenone)
The death has taken place of the late Ryan McCaughey, May 22 2025, (peacefully at Castlehill Nursing Home, surrounded by his loving family) (Castledawson and formerly Portglenone), beloved son of Kathleen and Cecil, much loved brother of Michillo, and loving uncle of Nathan, Thomas and Cassie. Ryan is reposing in WJ O’Donnell & Sons Funeral Home, 43 Glenone Road, Clady (corner) BT44 8LH. Visitors are welcome to call and pay their respects on Sunday, May 25 between 6.00pm - 8.00pm. His remains will leave form there on Monday, May 26 at 10.30am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church, Portglenone (which can be viewed via the parish webcam), burial immediately afterwards in Aughnahoy Cemetery. We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Leo Ward peacefully at The Northwest Cancer Centre on May 23 2025. May he rest in peace. Late of 24 Willowcroft, Feeny, Co Derry BT47 4GD and formerly of Butterlope, Aughabrack. Beloved husband of Siobhan née Devine and much loved father of Diarmuid (Terri), Aoife (Michael) and Dervla (Michael). Devoted grandfather of Pauric and Oisin. Loving son of Kathleen and the late Desmond R.I.P and dear brother of Geraldine, Eileen, Sean, Desmond and the late Michael R.I.P. Deeply reretted by the Ward and Devine family circles.
