Sarah (Shady) Ewing (née Leacock), 59 Ballinahone Road, Maghera
The death has taken place of the late Sarah (Shady) Ewing (née Leacock), April 2 2025, (peacefully) at her home, 59 Ballinahone Road, Maghera, in her 97th year, beloved Wife of the late Thomas, much loved Mother of Anne, Roy, Garry and the late John, Alan and Baby Diane, loving Mother-in-Law of Brian and Cynthia and a loving Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Great Great Grandmother and Sister. All welcome at the Family home on Thursday (April 3) and Friday (April 4) from 1:00pm - 9:00pm. Funeral will take place from her home on Saturday, April 5 at 12:30pm, to Knockloughrim Presbyterian Church for service at 1:00pm, followed by burial in the adjoining Churchyard. We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Geraldine O’Connell peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital on April 1 2025, may she rest in peace. Late of Glenroe Park, Dungiven and 2 New Street, Dungiven, Co Derry. Beloved partner of Kevin Simpson. Loving daughter of Ann and the late Tommy R.I.P. Dear sister of Collette, Seamus, and Gerard. Deeply regretted by her brother in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews and the entire family. Reposing at her parents home, 2 New Street, Dungiven. Family home is strictly private please. Funeral on Thursday, April 3 leaving at her parents home at 10.15am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Church Dungiven. Interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining graveyard. Frank Peters, 503 Atlantic Quay, Derry
The death has occurred of the late Frank Peters, March 28 2025, surrounded by his loving family in the Royal Infirmary, Edinburgh, beloved husband of Joy, loving father of Chris, Alan, and Marie-Clare, devoted grandfather of Callum, Saul, Naomhán and Poppy-Fflur, father-in-law of Lydia, Audrey and Daniel, dear brother of Jean, Margaret and the late Yvonne and David. A much loved brother-in-law, uncle, and friend to all those who knew him. He will be sadly missed. Frank will repose at his home, 503 Atlantic Quay, from 5.00pm on Thursday, April 3. Family time from 10.00pm to 11.00am please. Funeral from there on Saturday, April 5 at 9.30am for 10o’clock Requiem Mass in St. Patrick’s Church, Pennyburn. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul. St. Joseph intercede for him.
