Athelstan (Gus) Bowden, 9 Ashbourne Park, Coleraine

The death has occurred of the late Athelstan (Gus) Bowden, March 20 2025, (peacefully at hospital) beloved husband of Eileen (née McLaughlin) and much loved father of David and Andrew. “House Private Please” Gus’s remains are reposing in WJ O’Donnell & Sons Funeral Home, 41-43 Mount Street, Ballymena, BT43 6BW. Funeral Service on Sunday, March 23 2025 at 5.00pm followed by a private cremation at a later date. Deeply regretted by his sorrowing wife, sons, daughter in law Fiona, grandchildren Jamie and Neil and all the family circle. Safe in the arms of Jesus. The death has occurred of the late Mary Anne (Maisie) Campbell, March 21 2025, peacefully at Edenvale Nursing Home, late of Harberton Park. Beloved wife of the late Sidney, loving Aunt of Hilary, Glynis, Lindsey and Jennifer. It is with deep regret we announce the passing of John David (Murry) Ferguson, March 21 2025, Peacefully at his home, 14 Church Road, Altnagelvin, (surrounded by his loving family, formerly of Fahan) much loved husband of Hilda, devoted father of Stephen, Aoife and Judith, loving father-in-law of Ceren and Keith, dearest brother of Joan, brother-in-law of Robert. Funeral leaving his late home on Sunday, March 23 at 2.00pm for a Service of Thanksgiving for his life in Fahan Presbyterian Church at 3.00pm, burial afterwards in Fahan Church of Ireland Churchyard. The death has occurred of the late Frank Flynn (Magherafelt), March 20 2025, beloved husband of the late Maureen and loving father of Bernie, Francis, Brenda, Declan and the late Angela, brother of Joe, Dan, Mary Teresa, Monica and the late Jimmy and Felix.  Funeral from his son’s home, 66 Kiln Park, Templepatrick BT39 0BB, on Monday, March 24 at 10.00am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in Church of our Lady of the Assumption Magherafelt, interment afterwards in cemetery of Church of St John Milltown. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.  Deeply regretted by his sorrowing sons, daughters, sons in law, daughters in law, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces and extended family circle. Everyone welcome Saturday and Sunday 1.00pm until 8.00pm.

 

Alice Marina (Bunny) Larmour (née Hutchinson), Temple Park, Castlerock

The death has taken place of the late Alice Marina (Bunny) Larmour (née Hutchinson), March 20 2025, peacefully at Brookmount Nursing Home, formerly of Temple Park, Castlerock. Dearly loved mother of Mandy, loving grandmother of Samantha, Robin, Andrew and Tiffany and a dear great-grandmother and sister. Funeral private by her own request. Family flowers only please. Margaret McDaid (née Doherty), 6 Rathmore Road, Derry

It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret McDaid (née Doherty), peacefully at home on March 20 2025. Late of 6 Rathmore Road. May she rest in peace. Beloved mother of Perry and Christina. Loving sister of Teresa Rutherford. A much loved aunt to all of her nieces and nephews. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of her wider family circle and friends. Margaret’s remains will be reposing at her late residence, 6 Rathmore Road. Funeral leaving from there on Sunday, March 23 at 12:50pm for 1:30pm Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Creggan. Burial will take place immediately afterward in the City Cemetery.
