John Bradley, 44 College Glen, Derry

The death has occurred of John Bradley, March 9 2025, peacefully at his home, 44 College Glen, surrounded by his loving family, beloved husband of Bridie, loving father of Paul, Michael, Stephen, Peter and Joe, devoted grandfather of Daniel, Lorea, Rosie, Louise, Michaela, Emmett, Kiera and Ewan, dear and loving son of the late Joe and Annie, cherished brother of the late Bridie and Helen, dear father-in-law to Jayne, Sheila, Begonia, Donna and Sue and a loving uncle to all his nieces and nephews. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the entire family circle. John will be reposing at Bradley & McLaughlin’s Funeral Home on Monday, March 10 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm. Funeral leaving there on Tuesday, March 11 at 9:20am to St. Mary’s Church, Creggan for Requiem Mass at 10:00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Our Lady of Lourdes intercede for him.

 

Annie (Anna) McCaughey, 40 Lismoyle Road, Kilrea

It is with regret we announce the passing of Annie (Anna) McCaughey, March 9 2025, (peacefully) in her 90th year, formerly of 40 Lismoyle Road, Kilrea, dearly loved sister of William, Bella (Cairns) and the late Alex, Jim, Archie, Sadie, Winston, John and Martha (Infant), dear sister-in-law of Elizabeth, Leslie, Margaret, Sammy and the late Brenda and also a loving aunt and great-aunt. House strictly private. Family and friends welcome in Garvin’s Funeral Home, 15 Ballyronan Road, Magherafelt, BT45 6BP on Monday evening (March 10) from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. Funeral service in Boveedy Presbyterian Church on Tuesday (March 11) at 2:00pm followed by burial in the adjoining Churchyard. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, for Boveedy Presbyterian Church Building Fund payable to Garvin’s Funeral Service (Donation’s A/c). Janis McClintock (née Kelly), Derry

The death has taken place of the late Janis McClintock (née Kelly), March 8 2025, Peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital (in the tender loving care of her family) much loved wife of Trevor, devoted mother of Victoria and husband Gary, adored nana of Faolan James, precious sister of Margaret, Julie, Veronica, Aileen, Jacqueline, Patricia, Nicola, William, and the late Josephine, Caroline Deirdre and Diane, a dear sister-in-law of Vivian, and husband David, Desmond and wife Vivien, loving aunt of Mark, Gary, Kyle and Glenn, and Clare, Nigel and Dawn. Funeral Arrangements later Donations in lieu if desired to (cheques made payable to W.H.& S.C.T Altnagelvin Hospital Ward 26, c/o Mrs Ruth Hay, Funeral Director 24A, Church Road, Altnagelvin, Derry BT47 3QQ. House Private. Family and friends only. Very deeply regretted and will be lovingly remembered by her husband, daughter, son-in-law, grandson, sisters, brother, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and the entire family circle. “God’s garden must be beautiful he only takes the best”

 

Margaret Mary (Rita) McMenamin, Douglas (formerly of Derry)

The death has occurred of Margaret Mary (Rita) McMenamin (Douglas and Derry) on March 8 2025 in the exceptional care of the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at Haven Bay Care Centre, Kinsale. Margaret Mary (Rita), (Retired Teacher Thornhill College), beloved wife of James (Jim) and dear mother of Deirdre, James and Conor. Sadly missed by her loving husband, family, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, relatives and friends. Tequiem Mass will be on Wednesday (March 12) at 2.00pm in St. Columba's Church, Douglas. Funeral afterwards to The Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy.
