the death has taken place of the late Deirdre Burke (née Kelly), January 12 2025, beloved wife of Pat, 138 Lettershandoney, loving mother of Tanya, Tina and Patricia, mother-in-law of Paul, Ronald and the late Martin, much loved grandmother of Emma, Aoife, Patrick, Paul, Zach, Brody, Alby and the late Jack and Josh, great-grandmother of Neala and Gracie. Charlie Hickey, 11 Lavery Fold, Derry

The death has occurred of Charlie Hickey, January 12 2025, peacefully at his home, 11 Lavery Fold, beloved husband of Maragret, loving father of Patrick, Catherine, Jeannie, Margaret-Mary, William and Siobhain, a devoted granda and great-granda, dear and loving brother of Leo and the late Billy, Franco and Paddy. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the wider family circle. Charlie will be reposing at his home . Funeral leaving there on Tuesday, January 14 at 9:20am to St. Eugene’s Cathedral for Requiem Mass at 10:00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of the late Joyce Kyle (née Crooks), January 12 2025, (peacefully) at Brooklands Care Home, Magherafelt, formerly of 8 Rock Villas, Knockloughrim, loving and devoted wife of the late Willie John, dearest sister of the late John, James, Eileen, Vera and Olive and also a dear aunt, great-aunt and sister-in-law. Loving mother of Jacinta, Carol, Christopher, Tracy and Emma. A much loved grandmother of Natasha, Aaron, Amy, Chloe, Eoin, Matthew, Niamh, Hannah, Ellie and Rhys. A great grandmother of Charlie, Harry, Paul and Abel. Loving mother in law of Kevin, Eunan, Kevin and Noel. Daughter of the late Charles and Theresa Begley. Dear sister of Frankie, Carmel, Gerald, Michael, Louise and the late Charlie.  Marian will be reposing at her daughter Carol's house, 66 Danesfort Crescent. The death has occurred of the late Margaret Leahy (née McCloskey), January 11 2025, beloved wife of the late William (Bill), loving mother of Catherine, Margaret, Mary-Teresa, Bridgid, Paula and Anna, a devoted grandmother and dear sister of Bridie and all her deceased brothers and sisters. Her remains will be reposing in her home, 74 Drumleck Drive, Shantallow, BT48 8EN.  Funeral from there on Tuesday at 9.40am for 10o’clock Requiem Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Steelstown. The death has taken place of the late Henry James (Harry) Loane (Motalee Desertmartin), January 12 2025. Beloved son of the late Frank and Brigid and dear brother of the late Frank, Brigid Gillen and Joseph (Joe), brother in law of Margaret Mary Loane. Removal from McCusker Bros Funeral Home on Monday, January 13 at 5.30pm arriving at Church of St. Mary Coolcalm at 6.00pm. Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 11.00am, interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul. The death has taken place of the late Elizabeth (Betty) McGrory, January 12 2025 formerly of Fortwilliam Terrace, beloved daughter of the late Thomas and Ellen, loving sister of Mary and the late James, Nellie, Sadie and Gretta, sister-in-law of Gerry and the late Joe, Harry and John and a much loved aunt and great-aunt. Her remains will be reposing in her niece Evelyn’s home, 4 Drummond Park, Culmore Road.
