We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of the late Doris Irene Caskey (née McIlvenna), December 29 2024, (peacefully) at Antrim Area Hospital, 80 Queens Avenue, Magherafelt, dearly beloved mother of Donna and Rodney, dear mother-in-law of Phelim and Shona and dearest sister of Robert, Morris, Freda, Emma, Mandy and the late Joan. House strictly private. Family and friends welcome in Garvin’s Funeral Home, 15 Ballyronan Road, Magherafelt, BT45 6BP, on Saturday evening (January 4) from 7:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral service in Garvin’s Funeral Home on Sunday (January 5) at 2:30pm followed by burial in Dromore Parish Churchyard (Desertmartin). Family flowers only please. Always loved and remembered by her daughter Donna and son Rodney and the entire family circle. “The Lord is my Shepherd” Psalm 23 v 1.

Kathleen Henry (née Murray), 61 Moyagoney Road, Portglenone (Updated arrangements)

The death has taken place of the late Kathleen Henry (née Murray), (suddenly but peacefully), 61 Moyagoney Road, Portglenone, beloved wife of Patrick (Paddy, formerly Loughgiel), much loved mother of Julia and loving sister of Veronica (O’Neill), James and the late Patricia (Davidson), Elizabeth (Dixon), Brigid (Lynn) and Susan (Loughran). Her remains will leave her late residence on Saturday, January 4 at 9.30am for 10.00am Requiem Mass in St Oliver Plunkett’s Church, Clady, burial immediately afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Greenlough. Deeply regretted by her sorrowing husband, daughter, brother, sister and all her family and friends who loved her so much. Brian Keenan, 293 Clooney Road, Ballykelly

We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Brian Keenan, January 1 2025, beloved husband of Jacqueline, 293 Clooney Road, Ballykelly, BT49 9JE, loving father of James and Nicole, father-in-law of Emily, devoted grandfather of Elsie, cherished son of Ann, dear brother of Caroline and Danielle and son-in-law of Michael and Bernie Doherty. His remains will be reposing in his home on Friday from 12noon – 9.00pm. Funeral from there on Saturday at 1.15pm for 2o’clock Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church, Creggan. A private cremation will take place at a later date. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.

Tia McGuinness (née Toland), 88 Inishcarn Road, Derry

The death has taken place of the late Tia McGuinness (née Toland), January 1 2025, at Altnagelvin Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Charlie. Loving mother of Harry, Martina, Lynn, Terri, Charlie, Declan and the late Jim. Much loved grandmother and great grandmother. Dear mother in law of John, Gerry, Mary, Fiona and Maria. Tia is reposing at her family home, 88 Inishcarn Road. Funeral from there on Saturday at 9.30am to St Mary's church, Creggan for Requiem Mass at 10.00am. Eamon McLaughlin, Bishop Street, Derry

The death has taken place of the late Eamon McLaughlin, January 1 2025, peacefully at the City Hospital, Belfast, beloved husband of Dorika, late of Bishop Street, loving father of Emmett (Sylwia), Jolene and Shane (Kathleen), devoted grandfather of Tarlach, Blathnáid, Leona and Amber and dear brother of John, Denis, Lorcan, Bernadette and the late Charlie and Geraldine. His remains will be reposing in his son’s home, 4 Sydney Terrace, Great James’ Street. Funeral from there on Saturday at 9.40am for 10o’clock Requiem Mass in St Eugene’s Cathedral. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery.

Gwendoline Olive Simpson, Derry

The death has occurred of the late Gwendoline Olive Simpson, January 1 2025, peacefully at Foyle Hospice, much loved mother of Dale, Amanda and Suzanne, dear mother-in-law of Paul and Gill, loving nana to Penelope and Woody, beloved sister of Kenneth, Daphne and the late Estelle and dear friend to Thomas. Service of Thanksgiving for the life of Gwendoline will take place in Gortnessy Presbyterian Church on Saturday, January 4 at 12.00pm followed by interment in the adjoining burial ground. Family flowers only please. Elizabeth Stewart (née Lynch), 11 Beechleigh Park, Eglinton

The death has taken place of the late Elizabeth Stewart (née Lynch), January 1 2025, peacefully in Altnagelvin Hospital after a short illness, beloved wife of the late Ken, devoted mother to Shauna, cherished grandmother of Elena, Anna & Rosa, dear sister of Margaret, Josie, Mary-Ellen, Hubert and the late Kathleen, Sara, Jimmy and Francie and caring aunt to all her nieces and nephews. Her remains will be reposing at her home, 11 Beechleigh Park, Eglinton from 11.00am - 2.00pm and 6.00pm - 9.00pm on Friday. Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St Mary's Church, Tamnaherin on Saturday at 12o'clock. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Anne Wallace, Blackthorn Manor, Derry

The death has occurred of the late Anne Wallace, January 2 2025, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, late of Blackthorn Manor, beloved daughter of the late Josephine and Andrew, loving sister of Jim and the late Tony, May, John, Maureen, Eileen and Raymond and a much loved aunt, great-aunt and dear friend of Sheila. Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects at W J O’Brien & Son’s Funeral Home, 110 Clooney Road, Eglinton, BT47 3PU, on Friday, January 3 2025 from 4.00pm. The death has occurred of the late Annie Walls (née McCusker) (Maghera), January 2 2025, suddenly at home. Beloved wife of the late Eddie. Loving mother of Patricia McAtamney, Marie McWilliams, Eamon, Noel, Annette and the late Joey. Much loved grandmother of Annemarie, Gregory, Donna, Amanda, Eamonn, Aine, Cathy and Olivia. A loving great-grandmother and great great-grandmother. Daughter of the late Andrew and Ellen and sister of Winnie Kelly, Bridie McCusker, Andy and the late John, Paddy, Francis and Rita McGuckin. Annie’s wake will commence on Friday, January 3 at 6.00pm. Family time from 10.00pm to 11.00am.
