Majella Clare Barr, 21 Gartan Square, Derry

The death has occurred of Majella Clare Barr, 1st August 2023, suddenly at her home, 21 Gartan Square, Derry,, beloved daughter of the late Neil and Sarah (formerly of 10 Elmwood Street), precious sister of Neil, Mary, Jean, Martin, Teresa, Damian, Ciaran and the late Margaret and Ann. Will be sorely missed by her sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and all her extended family. Wake will take place at her sister Mary’s home at 110 The Meadows, Derry. (Wake private from 10pm-11am). Funeral leaving 110 The Meadows on Saturday 5th. August at 10:45 a.m. to St. Columba’s Church, Longtower for Requiem Mass at 11:15 a.m. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. The death has taken place of Elizabeth (Lily) Brehaut, (née Kees), 2nd. August 2023, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, ELIZABETH, (Lily, late of 174 Strabane Old Road), loving mother of David, dear sister of Clare and the late Dolores, Annie and Junior. Lily will be reposing at Bradley & McLaughlin’s Funeral Chapel on  Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Funeral leaving Bradley & McLaughlin’s Funeral Home on Saturday 5th. August at 10:20 a.m. to Immaculate Conception Church, Trench Road, for Requiem Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery Ardmore. Sacred Heart Of Jesus have mercy on her soul. Kevin Doherty, Meenaleck Walk, Shantallow, Derry

The death has taken place of Kevin Doherty, 1st August 2023, (peacefully) at Altnagelvin Hospital, formerly of Meenaleck Walk, Shantallow, loving father of Christine, Donna, Kevin, Megan and Chloe, a devoted grandfather, beloved partner of Tanya and dear brother of Christine, Maxine, Paddy and the late Lorraine. His remains will be reposing in his daughter’s home, 18 Glenabbey Park, Skeoge. Funeral from there on Saturday at 9.25 am for 10 o’clock Requiem Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Steelstown. Interment afterwards in the City cemetery. Family time please from 11 pm to 11 am. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.

Michael (Mickey) Harkin, 17 Kildrum Gardens, Derry

We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Michael (Mickey) Harkin, peacefully at his home on 2nd August 2023. Late of 17 Kildrum Gardens and formerly of 10 Blucher Street. May he rest in peace. Beloved husband of Mary. Devoted father of Breige, Cathy, Paula, Michael, Deirdre and Patricia. Loving grandfather of Emmett, Áine, Torin, James, Sinéad and the late Séan. A much loved brother of Eddie and the late Bridie and Johnny. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his wider family circle, friends and neighbours. Mickey’s remains will be reposing at his late family home, 17 Kildrum Gardens. Funeral leaving from there on Saturday 5th August at 9:20am for 10am requiem mass in St. Mary’s Church, Creggan. William (Willie) Harkin, 10 Derramore Avenue, Magherafelt

The death has taken place of William (Willie) Harkin, 2nd August 2023, (peacefully) beloved husband of Anna (nee Doyle), much loved father of Mark, Una (Walsh) Mary (Evans) and the late infant Liam and loving brother of May, Bridget, Tommy, Kathleen, Jean and the late Barney, John, Paddy, James, Danny, Tina and Kevin. Willie’s remains will leave his late residence on Saturday 5th August 2023 at 10.15am for 11am Requiem Mass in Church of our Lady of the Assumption, Magherafelt (which can be viewed via the parish webcam), followed by burial immediately afterwards in St John’s Cemetery. Deeply regretted by his sorrowing wife, son, daughters, sons in law Sean and Andy, daughter in law Julie, brothers in law, sisters in law, grandchildren: Katie, Conor, Anna, Eilish, Daniel, Sean and Aoife and extended family circle.
