Mother, father and son bailed at Derry Court on drug charges

The three appeared at a preliminary enquiry at Derry Magistrates Court

A mother, father and son have been returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on a series of drug charges. 

The three people appeared for a preliminary enquiry at Derry Magistrates Court today and were granted anonymity due to the nature of the charges. 

The three were charged with, on September 20 2019 three charges of being in possession of cocaine and possessing MDMA and cannabis with intent to supply, and one charge of obstructing a search for drugs.

It was accepted that there was a case to answer and there were no contrary submissions.

The three chose not to submit any written statements or to call any witnesses.

The three were returned to Derry Crown Court on February 29 and released on bail.
