A Festival of Football will take place in Claudy this Saturday.

The event, which is being held at Claudy John Michel’s GAC, has been organised in memory of the club’s late chairman Vincent McCloskey.

Eight clubs will come together for what is expected to be a ‘brilliant morning of football’.

The event will run from 10am to 1pm.

With temperatures expected to hit 23 degrees, it is sure to be a great day out for all the family.

Refreshments, including burgers, hot dogs, tea/coffee and buns will be available and there will also be a tuck shop.

The club has encouraged people to come out on Saturday and support, cheer on the kids and enjoy the community spirit.

All proceeds from the event will go towards the upcoming Hope Camp.

HOPE camp aims to reinvigorate the faith lives of the youth of the parish. Primarily this is done through daily faith formation activities but also through healthy social interactions in Sport, Art and Team Building.
