Former County Derry footballer to host event dealing with addiction

A former County Derry footballer is set to hold an event to address the growing issue of addiction.

Joe Diver, who is a qualified Mental Health Therapist (MBACP), will host the event at Seamus Heaney Homeplace on Saturday, May 10.

He will be joined by Geraldine Leyden as they share their personal stories and how they overcame their problems, with both now over 10 years sober.

Topics covered will include addiction to alcohol, drugs, and gambling.

The event will hope to help people and their families deal with this growing problem, as it hopes to inspire people.

Tickets for the event can be found through this link, with pricing at £25, for the event starting at 7pm on the night.
