Free Information session Lettershandoney
A health information event will be held in the rural County Derry area of Lettershandoney on Saturday, November 30 from 10am to 2pm in the Mullabuoy Community Centre.
The health event will be hosted by the Bogside and Brandywell Health Forum. Residents and users will be able to attend and get their blood pressure, BMI, blood sugars and cholesterol checked as well as advice given to them if needed by trained professionals. They are also bringing information stalls to the centre to help to quit smoking and providing some treatments to those who wish to avail of it. Treatments such as reflexology, hand and head massage will be available.
Owen Brolly Manager of the Lettershandoney and District Development Group said: “With Lettershandoney being a rural village, providing a service like this to our users can enable them to enjoy the same quality sessions and programs as urban community groups provide much easier.
“We managed to create this event due to funding from The National Lottery Community Fund. The funding enables us to build upon the great community we have in place and in doing so strengthen the community as a whole.”
