Bishop's Gate Hotel and Ditty's Bakery chase national food & hospitality glory
Bishop's Gate Hotel and Ditty's Bakery secure top spots in the national culinary showcase ahead of the landmark gala ceremony in Dublin.
Two of Derry’s premier culinary and hospitality businesses have been named as national finalists for the Good Food Ireland® 20th Anniversary Awards 2026.
The landmark shortlist features Bishop's Gate Hotel, competing for the 4-Star Irish Hospitality Experience of the Year, alongside Ditty's Bakery, Casteldawson, which has secured a double nomination for Irish Food Retail Experience of the Year and Bakery & Chocolate Producer of the Year.
The awards, held in association with FBD Insurance, celebrate exceptional businesses, producers, and individuals across the island of Ireland who place local provenance and quality food at the heart of the tourism experience.
The Derry finalists will join elite culinary businesses at a landmark 20th Anniversary Celebration and Gala Awards Ceremony at the InterContinental Dublin on Monday, November 16 2026.
A total of 20 categories will be awarded on the night, culminating in the presentation of the Overall Irish Producer of the Year and the Supreme Award of the Year - the highest accolade in Irish food and hospitality.
