Share Energy is delighted to announce its continued sponsorship of the 30 Under 30 Northern Ireland Climate Change-Makers programme for a second consecutive year, supporting the development of the next generation of climate leaders across Northern Ireland.

Now in its fourth year, the programme is currently accepting applications for the 2026 cohort, with a deadline of Sunday 7th December 2025. The programme will run from January to June 2026, offering participants a series of expert-led workshops and accredited Carbon Literacy Training.

Share Energy's sponsorship has already supported the 2025 cohort of 30 young leaders who participated in workshops covering critical topics including biodiversity, leadership, health and wellbeing, equipping them with the tools needed to drive meaningful climate action.

Damian Wilson, CEO at Share Energy, said: "We're proud to continue our support of the 30 Under 30 Climate Change-Makers programme for a second year. At Share Energy, we believe in the power of innovation and education to create a more sustainable future.

"Seeing the impact of last year's cohort has reinforced our commitment to this initiative. The young leaders who have come through this programme are making real differences in their organisations and communities. Climate change is one of the most pressing challenges of our time and supporting the next generation of climate advocates through programmes like 30 Under 30 aligns perfectly with our mission to promote smart energy solutions and drive sustainable change."

The 2026 programme will bring together 30 emerging leaders under the age of 30 from across Northern Ireland, representing a diverse range of sectors including business, public service, education and the third sector. Participants will benefit from workshops led by renowned leaders and industry experts, exploring topics essential to climate action and sustainable development.

Damian added: "This programme is more than an award, it is a platform for action. We're excited to be part of this transformative journey once again, helping to inspire and empower the next wave of climate advocates who will shape Northern Ireland's environmental future."

Jenna Potter, 30 Under 30 Programme Manager, commented: "We are thrilled to have Share Energy continue as a sponsor of the 30 Under 30 programme. Their ongoing commitment demonstrates the vital role that forward-thinking businesses play in addressing the climate emergency. Working together, we will continue to develop 30 emerging leaders to help fight the climate crisis in Northern Ireland.

"It is critically important that we develop the next generation of climate leaders who can make a difference in our community."

The 30 Under 30 Northern Ireland Climate Change-Makers programme builds on the globally recognised EE 30 Under 30 initiative by the North American Association for Environmental Education. The initiative is backed by leading organizations including the Garfield Weston Foundation, Belfast City Council, Ulster University, LFT Charitable Trust, Arup, Danske Bank, Pinsent Masons and Share Energy.

Applications for the 2026 cohort are now open until Sunday, December 7 2025. More information and the application form can be found at: https://bit.ly/30U30_NI
