A local Full Fibre broadband provider has today announced it is set to bring the magic of Christmas to a very special classroom in Northern Ireland this December.
Fibrus Broadband is giving the opportunity to schools across Northern Ireland to nominate their Primary One, Primary Two, or P1/P2 composite classes to receive a festive visit from Santa and the Fibrus Tinsel Team this Christmas.
The lucky winning classroom will be gifted a sack full of the most wanted presents and will receive a special video message from Santa Claus himself before it’s time to fire up the sleigh and take flight from the North Pole.
Understanding the importance of meaningful connections, especially over the holiday season, Fibrus continues to be a voice for rural communities. By helping to bridge the digital divide with its Full Fibre broadband roll out across rural and regional NI, Fibrus plays a key role in keeping families connected throughout the festive period.
Dominic Kearns, CEO of Fibrus, said: “Schools are at the heart of local communities in Northern Ireland, and they continuously go above and beyond for our children.
"We see the hard work that goes in all year, but especially over the Christmas period, where so many schools pull out all the stops for our little ones.
“Community is so important to us at Fibrus, it’s central to our ethos and so we are delighted to be able to give back and make this an extra special Christmas for some children by bringing a little bit of magic into their classroom. We would encourage any schools applicable to apply now to be in with a chance to win and celebrate their pupils.”
Applications for the ‘Christmas Classroom’ competition open at 9.00am on November 19 and will close at 12noon on November 26 2025. Schools wishing to apply should nominate their eligible class online at www.fibrus.com/christmasclassroom, sharing why their class deserves this magical prize and what it would mean for them.
There will be one classroom selected as the winner. Once the winning school has been contacted, they will have 48 hours to respond and claim the prize.
