Lynch’s EUROSPAR Caw is the new outlet from the award-winning local retailer, and the 11th store the company has opened in the North West and Mid Ulster areas.
Lynch’s, the award-winning local retailer which operates 11 stores in the North West and Mid-Ulster regions, has officially opened its latest outlet, Lynch’s EUROSPAR Caw.
The new-build superstore represents a £3 million investment by the family, and has brought 50 new jobs to the area.
The company now employs 500 people throughout its estate of stores also operating EUROSPAR stores in Skeoge, Greysteele and Trench Road in Derry and Draperstown, and SPAR stores in Dungiven, Claudy, Newbuildings, Coalisland, Clonoe and Buncrana Road, Derry.
Lynch’s EUROSPAR Caw is the fifth EUROSPAR to open within the retailer’s portfolio, enabling the team to provide a host of accessible services on the doorstep of the local area, including Lynch’s Butchery and deli serving grab and go snacks and meals freshly prepped in-store, plus a six-pump GO fuel forecourt. A Post Office will also open in-store in the New Year.
As ever, the retailer has filled the shelves and aisles with locally sourced fresh foods, including McAtamney’s meats and freshly prepared meals, Harkin Bros Potatoes, McDaid’s Bakery, Dougie’s Goodies, Doherty’s Home Bakery, Glenshane Farm Fresh Eggs and Doherty’s Meats.

Lynch’s Directors Conor Lynch and Gary Lynch (centre) are pictured with Paul Deans and Ciarán Quinn from Henderson Group at the opening of the new EUROSPAR Caw store, which has created 50 local jobs.
Situated in a high footfall and commuter area, the owners have invested in a complete Service Station offering with Barista Bar coffee to go and Lynch’s own bakery and deli food to go available alongside a ‘build your own’ Açai bowl station, Lick Gelato counter and The Vineyard off licence to elevate the shopper experience.
Gary Lynch commented; “We are so proud to open our 11th retail outlet, and our fifth under the thriving EUROSPAR brand. We are in a busy area for retail and therefore the demand is high, and we have worked closely with our partners at Henderson Group to bring in a huge variety of products to complement our known and trusted local brands and ranges, to really enhance the shopper experience in-store.
“Providing local employment and engaging with the local communities and neighbourhoods where we operate is very important to us as a family and a business.”
Ciara Moore, Store Manager added; “Operating under the EUROSPAR brand allows us to engage with and fundraise for Cancer Fund for Children, EUROSPAR’s charity partner in Northern Ireland, and therefore we look forward to getting together as a team to support donations with fun days in-store, and our own fundraising challenges.
“Community is everything in the North West, and as a business that has been operating here for decades, we are fortunate to know many organisations and groups in the area that we will continue to support with our new store.”

Paul Deans, Supermarkets Regional Sales Manager at Henderson Wholesale commented; “The EUROSPAR brand has brought fantastic growth for our independent retailers, and Lynch’s new Caw supermarket is evidence of that.
“This store marks a significant investment by the Lynch family into their local area, while ensuring they have fresh, locally sourced products on their shelves, offering quality and value to their shoppers.
“They have introduced exciting elements that meet consumer demand and will bring shoppers back to enjoy those experiences, while also getting the everyday essential products and services just right for their local area. Congratulations to the whole team, EUROSPAR Caw is a fantastic store, and will no doubt become a central part of the community.”
