Connemara Pony Sales create hilarious ad for Bruce Springsteen during his time in Cork

A pony sales company in Galway was quick to put together an exclusive advert for Bruce Springsteen ahead of his gig in Cork on Thursday.

Connemara Pony Sales, based in Clifden, advertised their Bruce campaign around Cork before The Boss' headline show, attempting to convince the singer to buy a pony for his daughter.

The hilarious advert reads "Hey Bruce, pony up and buy your daughter a famous Connemara pony while you're in town", and displays the date for the next pony sale.

In a post on Facebook, the company continued to urge Bruce Springsteen to buy one of their ponies, saying "we all know a parent shouldn’t return home from a trip abroad empty handed!"

The singer's daughter Jessica Springsteen is passionate about horses, as she is a show jumping champion rider who has represented the US Equestrian Team in international competition, and even won a silver medal in the Team jumping at the 2020 Summer Olympics held in 2021 in Tokyo.

Fans heading to the Cork concert on Thursday flooded social media with photos and replies to the adverts across Cork city.

RTÉ news presenter and self-proclaimed Springsteen megafan David McCullagh shared an image of the advert to X, saying that it was "worth a try".
