Bridgerton star Nicola Coughlan appeared shocked as she was asked why people are so 'obsessed' with her age. 

The 37-year-old Galway actress rose to fame for he role as Claire in Derry Girl and now for her role as Penelope Featherington on the Netflix drama. 

Coughlan has had a lot of social media conversation around her age, with users posting stiches of the star on popular social media platform TikTok saying: "I want whatever she is doing because if I looked this good at 37, I would be happy."

Speaking to Refinery 29 Australia, on a press tour for the upcoming season of Bridgerton, Coughlan said: "It is really funny to, me. I have never lied about it because I am a rubbish liar so I can't pretend to change my references and be like. 'Oh my God, I love Hannah Montana.' I have never seen it. It is very complimentary and nice which is good."
One user commented under the video saying: "She learned from Nadine Coyle to not lie about her age."
Another user said: "She is so beautiful. I’m gonna have to watch this season twice because I WILL be distracted."
Bridgerton, season three, part one will air on Netflix on Thursday, May 16 and part two will air on Monday, June 13.
