An adaption of Ireland's famous Mrs Brown's Boys TV series has proved a success across small screens in Canada.

Similar to our beloved Agnes Brown, the series is based around fictional character, Germaine Lebrun, played by Benoît Brière, the undisputed leader of the Lebrun family.

Baring a remarkable resemblance to the Irish set, the clothes, props, and even the characters share uncanny similarities.

Germaine possesses an opinion on everything and delights in sticking her nose in where it doesn't belong, making her an endearing yet exasperating force in the lives of her loved ones.

Among her brood are Carole (Cathy), perpetually in search of a soul mate; Bruno (Dermot), a good-natured guy with a penchant for dressing up as a mascot; Gaëtan (Rory), the exuberant one; Marc (Mark), an illiterate carpenter; and François (Trevor), a missionary.

Baring a remarkable resemblance to the Irish set, the clothes, props, and even the characters share uncanny similarities.

The Canadian Quebecois series has been running since 2015, and is a hit, receiving a 7.1/10 review on IMDB.
