Another home attacked in Creggan estate

Another home has been attacked in Derry’s Creggan area - the fourth in the past three nights.
A window in a house (pictured) at Creggan Heights was “put in” overnight.
It is the latest in a number of similar incidents in the upper Creggan area.
On Sunday night last, windows in two homes – including that of a 74-year-old woman – were smashed in Rinmore Drive and Creggan Heights.
The home in Rinmore Drive was also targeted on Monday night.
Prior to last night’s attack, residents walked through the estate in protest at anti-social behaviour in the area.
It followed the saying of the Holy Rosary at the grotto at Creggan Heights.
Organisers, the Rinmore Drive and Creggan Heights Residents Group (R|DACGRG), said the prayers would continue nightly and it was hoped walks through the estate would be held weekly.
Similar initiatives have been taking place in recent weeks the Ballymagroarty and Galliagh areas of the city where organisers there claim they are winning the battle against anti-social behaviour.
