GAA: Derry crash to Galway and sit bottom of Allianz NFL Division Two table

Derry are in real danger of being relegated to Division Three of the Allianz National Football League. Today, at Tuam Stadium, they were beaten 5-15 to 2-15 by Galway in an exciting contest. Derry led 2-10 to 2-07 at the break with goals from Benny Heron and Emmett Guckin. However, back by the the wind Galway came storming back and second half goals from Johnny Heaney, Eamonn Brannigan (penalty) and substitute Shane Walsh helped them on their way to what turned out to be a nine-point victory. Derry sit at the foot of the table with just three points from five games.
