Popular band fronted by Feeny singer set to perform at exclusive gigs in Japan next month

A popular band, whose lead singer hails from Co Derry, are set to perform at a number of exclusive gigs in Japan next month.
Sister Ghost will be playing a number of shows, culminating in a festival slot (chosen from 100+ worldwide applicants) at the Too Hot To Be Cool x Loud Women Festival in Shinjuku Marz Tokyo.
Lead singer and guitarist Shannon O’Neill, from Feeny, says he feels honoured to be performing at Moonstep in Nakano City on November 10, The Ruby Room in Shibuja on November 12 and at the festival on November 14.
“It’s an honour to be the first of my family tree to travel to Japan, I never in a million years thought it would happen, never mind being invited there for my music,” Shannon said.
“Myself and the band are really looking forward to it and I will be flying the flag for Derry for sure. I’d also like to acknowledge and thank the Arts Council of Northern Ireland for their support via their SIAP Travel Fund.”
Over the years, Sister Ghost has grown into one of Ireland's most vital and fearless rock voices, sharing stages with the likes of Snow Patrol, Fontaines DC, Pussy Riot and more. After turning heads with her highly praised debut album, Beyond The Water, Sister Ghost is now releasing a new live album, in time for Halloween, entitled The Undead Tapes!
Recorded in the iconic Waterfront Hall Belfast, as well as a bonus track recorded in The Silverlake Lounge, on Sunset Blvd in Los Angeles California, this live album captures the award-winning live energy Sister Ghost is known for.
Available via Bandcamp and across streaming platforms from October 28.
