A large crowd of pro-Palestinian protesters marched through Derry on Saturday, reiterating calls for a ceasefire in Gaza.
The protest marked the 76th anniversary of what Palestinians refer to as the Nakba.
The Nakba, which means 'catastrophe' in Arabic, refers to the mass displacement and dispossession of Palestinians during the 1948 Arab-Israeli war. The term is also used to describe the ongoing persecution and displacement of Palestinians by Israel.
As a whole, it covers the fracturing of Palestinian society and the long-running rejection of the right of return for Palestinian refugees.
Saturday's march was the latest in a string of events to be held in the city since the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, which has resulted in more than 35,000 people being killed.
