With news that a buyer for the former Lisnagelvin Leisure Centre site has been found, the place holds a special place in the hearts of so many local people.
Lisnagelvin Leisure Centre was a big part of so many childhoods.
The state-of-the-art facilities, and, in particular, the wave machine in the pool, attracted users from far and wide.
However, the centre, which opened in 1980, was closed by the council in 2015 and replaced by the Foyle Arena in St Columb's Park.
This video, which was made on the day that the centre closed and posted on YouTube by former member of staff Maureen Allan, shows the facilities inside the centre.
Receptionist Elaine McIntyre was one of the first members of staff to be employed at the centre and came out of retirement to call 'red arm bands to the changing rooms please' one final time when the doors closed in 2015.
