WATCH: General Election 2024: DUP's Gregory Campbell narrowly holds his East Derry seat

DUP's Gregory Campbell has held the East Derry seat once again despite fierce competition from Sinn Fein. 

The 71-year-old was able to fend off the pressure and hold the seat he has held since 2001. 

This makes him the longest serving Westminster MP in Northern Ireland. 

Sinn Fein's Kathleen McGurk was within 179 votes and she sees it as a positive step for the future despite it being disappointing now.
