VOX POP: Coláiste Bhríde pupils on their favourite thing about the school

The students of Coláiste Bhríde tell The Derry News what their favourite thing is about the school and what is so special about speaking Irish, and what type of job they wanted in the future and in what way would Irish help?

Katy

Tá cuid mhór rudaí ann atá ar fheabhas faoin scoil seo. Is breá liom an bia agus tá roinn na Gaeilge s’againn ar dóigh. Tá cuid mhór cairde agam fosta.

(There are many great things about this school. I love the food and we have an Irish language department. I also have a lot of friends.)

Tá sé iontach speisialta mar is í ár dteanga náisiúnta í. Cuideoidh sí liom post a fháil nuair atá mé níos sine.

(It is very special because it is our national language. It will help me get a job when I'm older.)

Níl a fhois agam cad é a ba mhaith liom a dhéanamh go fóill. Má tá tú ábalta Gaeilge a labhairt, beidh níos mó deiseanna agat.

(I'm not sure what I want to do yet. If you can speak Irish, you will have more opportunities.)
