Finn Harps were beaten 1-0 by Shamrock Rovers in the Airtricity League Premier Division tonight.
A second half penalty by Gary McCabe proved to be decisive.
Harps battled tirelessly but rarely really troubled the Rovers goalkeeper Barry Murphy.
The Harps side included former Derry players Tony McNamee and Ryan Curran,
Rovers are joint top with Dundalk on maximum points after three games.
