Donegal senior hurling champions Setanta  are waiting anxiously on news about two key players ahead of Sunday's Ulster Club Junior Hurling Championship Final against Derry's Na Magha at MacCumhaill Park in Ballybofey.

Former Armagh county star Declan Coulter is getting treatment for a torn calf while Donegal county player Niall Cleary has a hamstring problem.

Setanta manager Paul Campbell says that it would be “ fantastic achievement” if they can pull it off.

But he knows that Na Magha will provide stern opposition and he feels that “it is going to be a one or two point game” and that “the rub of the green will determine who wins.”

Campbell will leave it to Sunday before making a final decision on the two players.

Interestingly, both sides have lost twice in the final over the past decade.

Setanta were beaten by Armoy of Antrim in 2007, and Lisbellaw of Fermanagh in 2008.

Na Magha lost out to Bredagh of Down in 2012 and Castleblayney Faughs of Monaghan in the 2014 decider.

Former Slaughtneil hurler Bliadhan Glass has formed a formidable partnership with Breandan Quigley at midfield and young Tim Rankin is a player Setanta will have to keep a close tab on.

Setanta captain Kevin Campbell is one of five players in the panel that featured back in 2008. He felt that they left that one behind them, and he would early love to lift the trophy in Ballybofey.

For one of the sides, Sunday will be a case of third time lucky in the final.

Throw-in is 2.00 pm.
