~~IFA Championship 1
Institute 2
Lisburn Distillery

Institute moved top of the league this afternoon after a hard-fought victory over a dogged Lisburn.

An early tap in from Michael McCrudden after great work from Darren McFadden had the Riverside boys one up after 18 minutes but, within five further minutes, Lisburn struck back when Chris Pike's right wing free kick curled the whole way into at the far post.

The second half introudction of Stephen Curry proved inspirational though as Paul Kee's new signing headed home a McCrudden cross with just 24 minutes remaining and the hosts saw the game out from there.

Meanwhile Carrick Rangers slipped up when they went down to Dundela to allow the Derry men to sneak into top spot on goal difference.
