Derry City beat Inishowen League side Greencastle 5-1 at Chapel Lane in Greencastle in the Mark Farren Memorial pre-season game this afternoon.
Farren, a Derry City legend, lost his battle against cancer at the age of 33 and today's game was played almost one year to the day since his untimely passing.
Farren (pictured), who grew up playing soccer in Greencastle, went on to score 113 goals in 209 appearances for the Candy Stripes.
Shane McNamee bagged a hat-trick for a youthful looking City side while Dean Power and Gareth McGlynn were also on target.
