City of Derry returned to All Ireland League Division 2B action today - and it proved to be a winning one as well.

Having struggled for much of the season, the Judge's Road side put in a much better display and defeated MU Barnhall 23 - 11.

They trailed 11-10 at the break even though they had led 7-3 at one stage following a try and conversion from Cathal Cregan.

A second half try from Ian Bratton was hugely significant and the accurate kicking of Neil Burns helped pave the way to a welcome victory.
