It's official, Philip O'Connell has been voted the Derry Intermediate Football Championship player of the week.
The Glen man topped the poll after hundreds of votes were cast today and the full back's sterling defensive performance coupled with a raiding attitude going forward in the Watties' win over Trasna saw O'Connell stave off stiff competition from Ballerin's free-scoring Gary Keane.
