Round six of the 2026 series arrives at Shackleton this Saturday

The Rallysport Association (RSA) has announced a return to the fantastic Shackleton Industrial Complex venue in Ballykelly on Saturday, July 18 for round six of the RSA Summer Championship 2026 and it will be contested with 165 drivers already registered to compete.

The venue was previously a 620-acre military airport and is ideal for car rally events. This challenging venue with its runways and linking road network has been an integral part of the RSA development in Ireland and is the most popular venue for ‘closed venue rally’s’ in Ireland.

The RSA has always been dedicated to and continues to be fundamental within the development of the next generation of Irish, British, European and World Rally Champions which includes young drivers from the age of 12 in two different classes. Indeed, several of the top seeded rally drivers and navigators at the prestigious Donegal International Rally recently all started their rally careers with the RSA as young as 12 years of age. So, if you want to see the next Irish rally champions of the future, come to Shackleton this Saturday.

The RSA has introduced yet another exciting new challenging stage layout for this event which will test cars, drivers and navigators over a fast and flowing stage with integrated technical sections ... a further development for RSA which is perfect for closed venue rallying as an alternative to closed road rallying for competitors and spectators which is now proving to be copied from the RSA formula in the UK and is the future vision forward for affordable rallying in the UK and Ireland!

The Rallysport Association (RSA) will create another fantastic weekend event with 165 competitors taking part in a beautiful selection of exotic, top quality Rally cars and the exciting European Crosskart race buggies which have been created for use in Irish and UK rally sport.

The entry includes current and previous top class Irish Rally competitors in phenomenally fast R2,3 & 4 and ‘Turbo Charged Rallycars’ together with the exciting Escorts and Starlets and an array of seriously fast front wheel drive cars from Honda, Renault and many more. There will be 30 plus junior drivers (12 - 17) in 1000cc cars and 1600cc Mini Coopers in battle for’ mid term’ championship points.

The entry list details for this event at Shackleton on July 18 can be found at www.therallysportassociation.com website and on ‘therallysportassociation' Facebook page.
