Derry City 2

Bray Wanderers 3

Bray Wanderers struck a stoppage time winner to break Derry City hearts in an incredible game at Maginn Park.

The Candy Stripes had fought back from two goals down but a last gasp header from Tim Clancy sealed it for the visitors, who performed a real smash and grab.

Derry were dominant throughout but Bray got their goals at crucial times.

They took the lead through a superb free-kick from Gary McCabe and doubled the lead on the stroke of half time with a wonder strike from Aaron Greene.

Derry lost both Gerard Doherty and Rory Patterson to injury but continued to dominate.

The Candy Stripes got back into the game on 65 minutes when Aaron McEneff scored from the penalty spot and they drew level when Dean Jarvis hooked in an equaliser with just five minutes to go.

But a late corner gave Bray one last chance and with Eric Grimes rooted to his line, Tim Clancy was allowed to steal in and head in the winning goal, with no time left for City to respond.
