Ronan Curtis is flying at Portsmouth, with his two goals against Blackpool at the weekend leaving the former Derry City man on top of the world.

The 22-year-old got off the mark for his new club at Bloomfield Road on Saturday, helping maintain Pompey's 100% start to the new season, and he could not hide his delight.

"The crowd went nuts and i just lost the plot. It was a crazy feeling scoring my first goal," he said.

"I have come over here and I just want to get my head down and work hard and get a good pre-season under my belt and that’s what happened. I started up front last week and played on the left yesterday and scored two so it was a good day. I don’t mind where I play as long as I’m playing. The gaffer has trust in me and if he plays me on the left or the right or through the middle, I don’t mind."
