Members of Derry City's most successful ever team gathered in the city last night for a special reunion.

In 1989, Derry won the treble of league title, FAI Cup and League Cup.

They remain the only club to achieve this.

Last night members of the 1989 team gathered at the City Hotel for a dinner to mark the 25th anniversary of their historic achievement.

Guest of honour on the night was Martin O'Neill, the Republic of Ireland manager.

The majority of the 1989 team were able to make the event.

However, a few, including Mick Neville, Paul Doolin and Noel Larkin, sent their apologies via a video link.

The biggest roar of the night was for Jim McLaughlin, the Derry-born manager of the 1989 team.
