Finn Harps scored their first goal in nine league games as Ruairi Keating (pictured) netted for the Donegal side against his former side Galway United at Eamon Deacy Park tonight.

In fact, Harps scored twice but lost 3-2 to The Tribesmen in a highly entertaining encounter.

For Harps this was a ninth defeat in a row.

Galway rushed into a 2-0 lead inside the first ten minutes through Vinny Faherty and Enda Curran.

That was the score at the break and Galway got their third on 58 minutes with Colm Horgan getting his first of the season.

But Keating pulled one back on 58 minutes and when Adam Hanlon got a second for Harps on 75 minutes it really was game on.

Galway had Marc Ludden sent off in the 94th minute but they held on against plucky Harps.

This result leaves Harps third bottom and four points above Wexford Youths who have played a game more.
