A penalty from Richie Mullan, who finished with 1-7, was the key score as Kevin Lynch's saw off Banagher at Fr McNally Park on a 1-9 to 0-10 scoreline.

The win takes Geoffrey McGonigle's side  joint top with Banagher on ten points, but have two games in hand.

With 1-5 from Ruairi Convery, Swatragh beat local rivals Slaughtneil 1-11 to 0-8 at home.

In the third game played on Wednesday night, Ballinascreen were narrow winners (2-12 to 2-11) against Carrickmore.

Caoilte McAlinden and Cathal Donnelly found the net for 'Screen.
