Derry and Donegal fans will be asked to dig deeper into their pockets ahead of the Ulster SFC clash on Sunday week at Celtic Park.

The admission prices for all Ulster games have increased for the first time since 2009 and in a new development, juveniles (U16s) will be charged into all games.

Adult stand tickets will cost €35/£30 (up from €30/£25) with a terrace ticket priced at €20/£17 (up from €18/£15).

There are reduced rates for online purchase before 12noon on the Friday before the game or at select stores by 9.00pm on the Saturday before a fixture.  Tickets can also be obtained from county boards.

"With ticket prices actually lower in 2017 than they were in 2007, an analysis showed that we were out of kilter with the other provinces in terms of our pricing structure,” stated Ulster GAA Provincial Secretary Brian McAvoy before the championship commenced.

"All Ulster GAA revenues continue to assist with the funding of various programmes and initiatives throughout the province as we strive to benefit the Association at club and county level,” McAvoy continued.

For the first time, all juveniles attending Ulster games will be charged £5 (or €5), having only been charged into all-ticket games previously.  There are no concessions for advanced purchase on juvenile tickets.

The price for a couple sitting in the stand with two children, not having purchased in advance, will be £70/€80.

The Ulster Council were contacted by the County Derry Post for comment on the decision to introduce a charge for juveniles and clarify what age a juvenile was classed as.

“All U16s are £5 or €5,” confirmed Ulster PRO Michael Geoghegan.  “There are also family tickets available which offer good discounts.”

Geoghegan commented that Ulster's ticket prices were ‘still cheaper’ than other provinces.
