Magilligan will be expected to book their spot in the semi-finals of the Derry junior championship this week.

The 2016 champions prepare to face Ardmore in the final group game on Thursday at Celtic Park (7.45) in what is the first game of a hectic championship weekend of action.

Magilligan , now managed by former Coleraine player Leo Sweeney, lost their opening game against Moneymore but will advance to the last four if they can avoid defeat against 2013 winners Ardmore.

Glack, Drum and Moneymore have already qualified for the semi-finals, with the pairings decided by an open draw.

With the withdrawal of Ogra Colmcille, there were only seven teams in the championship this season.

The other two remaining group games in round three are dead rubbers.

The Glack versus Drum tie won't be played and Doire Colmcille's meeting with city rivals has been postponed until Saturday September 21.
